The First World Broadcasters Meeting organised by HBS was held on April 12-13, 2005 in Munich (Germany) at the Hilton Park Hotel.

AGENDA

The WBM1 consisted of two days of plenary sessions on April 12-13, followed by two days dedicated to unilateral meetings with HBS representatives on April 14-15.

In addition, Broadcast Partners were able to meet representatives from Infront Sports and Media, OC 2006, T-Systems, and the World Cup Accommodation Services, all of whom had been invited by HBS to be present.

HBS also took the opportunity to organise an IBC site visit as well as a Munich Stadium visit.

*Please note that the unilateral meetings with HBS as well as the site visits had to be booked in advance. Broadcast Partners interested had to notify it to HBS when confirming their attendance.

REGISTRATION

Registration for the First World Broadcasters Meeting (WBM1) started in January 2005 as soon as Broadcast Partners (BPs) received a formal invitation from HBS Booking Department via email. BPs were then provided a specific web address (“HBS secured area") where they were able to register.

An Information Pack with full details of WBM1 was also available on the Secured Area of the HBS Website for download.

ACCOMMODATION

HBS negotiated a limited number of rooms at an advantageous rate, available on a first come first served basis, for Broadcast Partners attending the WBM 1. These were in the Hilton Park Munich (the location of the WBM) and its sister hotel, the Hilton City Munich. Please note that HBS did not place reservation for Broadcast Partners. Broadcast Partners willing to book a room in one of these hotels had to place their booking directly at the hotel. Hotels contact details could be found in the Invitation.
