FIFA appointed Host Broadcast Services (HBS) as the host broadcaster for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ and the FIFA Confederations Cup 2013 as well as the Other FIFA Events (OFEs) 2011-2014.

HBS’ role includes every single aspect of the production of the multilateral signal as well as providing necessary services and facilities to MRLs in order to fulfil their unilateral production needs. This includes the design, construction and set-up of the International Broadcast Centre (IBC) in Rio de Janeiro.
