HBS & LFP To Kick-Off New Season Together

29 July, the Domino’s Ligue 2 (L2, the French professional league for football clubs) will see the start of another exciting season. Since 2008, HBS and the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) have enjoyed a strong collaboration as HBS France Production was created and dedicated to upholding this commitment to quality and innovation. Eight years later, the partnership remains strong and hard work is carried out on both sides to continuously improve the broadcasting standards of the Ligue’s competitions.

Among the areas of responsibility handled by HBS today is Quality Control (commonly known as QC). HBS’ quality control unit monitors the conformity and ensures that the quality of match feeds provided by broadcasters matches the standards set by the LFP.

The HBS team is also responsible for managing the on-site Media Managers who handle the efficient coordination of all media activity at the stadiums on match days and liaise with the HBS quality control unit.

HBS France Production has additional complementary missions, such as consulting on all production-related topics and managing the infrastructure related to all audiovisual aspects of the stadiums of Ligue 1 and Domino’s Ligue 2 clubs. The company also provides technical guidance and analysis of broadcast infrastructure in order to optimise the deployment of the equipment and better the quality and consistency of the viewing experience.

For this 2016-2017 season, the Domino’s Ligue 2 bids farewell to Nancy, Dijon and Metz (promoted to L1), but Reims, Ajaccio and Troyes (relegated from L1) along with Strasbourg, Orléans and Amiens (promoted from the lower division) will now battle with the 14 other teams for a place on the podium, winning them promotion to the top league next summer. HBS and the LFP will ensure – yet again – that the viewing experience lives up to high standard of football on display.
