International Games Broadcast Services

In 2004, a new step was taken to further develop HBS’ activity when the company and IMG Media, two industry leaders, created International Games Broadcast Services (IGBS). IGBS has developed into a successful partnership that never fails to deliver top-level host broadcast services to the organisers of major multi-sport Games around the world.

The combined skills and experience of the two parent companies make IGBS a genuine and unique “turnkey” host broadcaster, with a strong track record in major global events coverage, including the 15th Asian Games Doha (2006), the 7th Winter Asian Games Astana-Almaty (2011), the 28th SEA games in Singapore (2015), the 29th SEA Games Kuala Lumpur (2017) and the 18th Asian Games Jakarta Palembang (2018).

These were events where they jointly delivered the highest international production standards on a cost-effective basis against challenging lead times and, sometimes, in difficult environments.

Where IMG Media is the world’s largest independent sports television production company, with more than 40 years of experience in major event coverage across the globe, HBS has an unparalleled history in host broadcasting and has constantly introduced new technology and services and led to widespread international adoption of these principles as new broadcast standards.

At a time when the host broadcast of major international sports events is becoming increasingly specialised and complex – too complex for most national broadcasters and traditional TV production companies – IGBS is uniquely qualified. Carrying forward a heritage of knowledge and experience from event to event, it has the systems and personnel to provide a complete solution to organisers and broadcasters.
