Mission

AFC Asian Cup Australia 2015

HBS teamed up with new partners Gearhouse Broadcast and McGuire to provide the host broadcast of the 16th edition of the men’s AFC Asian Cup, a quadrennial international football tournament that took place from 9-31 January.

HBS once again implemented its ‘Dream Team’ concept for the AFC Asian Cup Australia 2015. This concept was established by HBS at the 2002 FIFA World Cup™ in Korea/Japan and has since been adopted with great success for the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™, the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™, the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ and the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™.

HBS assembled a ‘Dream Team’ of directors selected from the top levels of the television industry, who had extensive experience working for major television channels and operating in the multi-camera high definition environment. Each international director brought his senior producer and head EVS operator and worked with the very best of Australian production personnel.

HBS also instituted its Multi-Feed concept, a technique first developed for the 2002 FIFA World Cup™ and progressively enhanced for the 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018 editions of the tournament. The Multi-Feed concept gave rights holders access to both the traditional match coverage and a full range of additional feeds, each of them specifically designed to complement each other. The Multi-Feed concept also ensured the maximum return from the technical platform and personnel available at each match.
