2012 OFE SEASON BEGINS - 31/08/2012

The 2012 Other FIFA Events (OFE) cycle began two weeks ago with the opening kick-off of the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Japan 2012, the first match of which took place on 19 August in Miyagi. As part of its 2014 FIFA World Cup™ host broadcasting agreement with FIFA, HBS is responsible for providing various coordination and production services as well as all booking services relating to the 2011-2014 OFEs. In this case HBS has been working in close cooperation with the Host Broadcaster, Dentsu/FUJI TV, to ensure a world-class production standard.

A few weeks after the Final in Japan HBS will move on to the year's next OFE, the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Azerbaijan 2012 (22 September to 13 October), followed shortly by the FIFA Futsal World Cup Thailand 2012 (1-18 November).

The FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Japan 2012 pits 16 teams against each other over the course of 32 matches, concluding in Tokyo on 8 September. For more information on the event please click here.
