2014 PLANS RIGHT ON TIME - 28/09/2012

HBS’ planning for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ has been gathering pace over the last few months and will take further significant steps forward following FIFA’s confirmation of the kick-off times for the event.

The FIFA Executive Committee approved the kick-off times at a meeting in Zurich yesterday, Thursday 27 September. The match schedule for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ can be viewed here.

HBS’ team in Brazil has expanded rapidly over the past 12 months, and by the end of 2012 a total of 20 permanent staff members will be based in the host country – with roughly half of that number accounted for by local hires.

Prior to the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ the focus will fall on the FIFA Confederations Cup Brazil 2013, which will be contested at six of the 12 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ stadiums between 15-30 June 2013. As with previous FIFA Confederations Cups, HBS will use this event to test innovations and establish an operational relationship with the Local Organising Committee and other parties.
