  • HBS' IRONMAN PRODUCTION HONOURED - 16/10/2012

HBS and the World Triathlon Corporation (WTC) were rewarded during the Golden Podium Awards, at Sportel Monaco on Tuesday 16 October, with L’Equipe.fr’s Public Prize for the Best Sport Slow Motion of the year, presented for a clip taken from the HBS-produced Ironman Europe TV Show.

HBS CEO Francis Tellier, second from left, collected L’Equipe.fr’s Public Prize for the Best Sport Slow Motion at the Golden Podium Awards.

The honour, which was voted for by users of the L’Equipe.fr website, was bestowed for the promotional trailer produced for the season finale of the Ironman Europe TV Show and was collected on behalf of the WTC, Infront Sports & Media and HBS by HBS CEO Francis Tellier.

HBS produced 14 magazine shows during the 2012 season, the first term of a three-year contract as a TV production partner of the WTC. The 26-minute shows focus on the Ironman and Ironman 70.3 events taking place in Europe and South Africa and are distributed in over 115 countries.

HBS Director of Production Dan Miodownik and Producer Julien Bertin have played a substantial role in the success of HBS’ partnership with the WTC on the Ironman Europe TV Show. “We are, of course, extremely honoured to have won this award. Ironman is an extraordinarily exciting sport to be involved in, and the three highly athletic disciplines translate to television in a manner that is perfect for showcasing the drama and emotion of the events. With the 2012 season having just come to a close, this award is timely recognition of the quality of all those who have worked on the production this year,” Miodownik explained.
