  • HBS AND FIFA TV TO DISCUSS 2014 FIFA WORLD CUP™ AT IBC AMSTERDAM - 05/09/2012

The annual IBC (International Broadcasting Convention) in Amsterdam is a vital part of the sports broadcast community's calendar, providing a lively mix of professionals from the industry's various spheres. Attendees come from all parts of the world to mingle with their peers, learn about the latest developments in the field and test the new technology on display within the exhibition hall. It is therefore only natural that HBS has a strong record of attendance and active participation going back over a decade.

This tradition of HBS involvement is set to continue at this year's IBC, where FIFA TV Director Niclas Ericson and HBS CEO Francis Tellier (pictured, respectively left and right) will take part in a 90-minute panel titled "Brazil 2014: The Road to the Next FIFA World Cup". The session, produced by media journalist Neal Romanek, will be chaired by SVG Editorial Director Ken Kerschbaumer and will cover such topics as the evolution of the event's coverage over the years, the various challenges associated to its production and possible technological advances at the next edition of the tournament.

The panel will take place at 14:00 on Saturday 8 September. For more information on IBC Amsterdam, which begins tomorrow, Thursday 6 September, please click here.
