The FIFA World Cup™ takes place every four years. The League 1 coverage in France lasts for 10 months every year. Since the start of the new season, under the governance of Francis Tellier, CEO of HBS, and of François-Charles Bideaux, the project director for L1 at HBS-France Production, HBS has exceeded the expectations of the Ligue de Football Professionnel - known for its broadcast innovations - at a time when the word "convergence" has become totally relevant.

François-Charles Bideaux, the well-respected director of FIFA, UEFA et FIA events, works in tandem with the Dream Team of other famous names in France such as Amsellem, Bergli, Berthelot, Denis, Godard, Hassani, Hullin, Lanaud, Stabler and Vankerkhoven who are hard at work across the country each weekend with their respective crews.

NB: two production set-ups are managed by HBS for the French League 1 matches:

Set-Up 1 (Premium matches): Saturday 21:00 kick-off
- 18 cameras (9 LSM)
- International Feed dirty HD + International Feed clean SD
- SDI 1080i
- Dolby E 5.1 Audio
- 16/9 coverage with 4/3 "shoot and protect" framing
- Orange unilateral feed: Mobile studio for pre- and post-match show
- A team of 80 persons per match

Set-Up 2 (Fan matches= pay-per-view): Saturday 19:00 kick-off (5 to 6 matches)/Sunday 17:00 kick-off (2 to 3 matches)
- 10 cameras (5 LSM) + 1 Mobile International Signal camera
- International Feed dirty SD 16/9 and 4/3
- International Feed clean SD 16/9
- Mobile International Signal
- Canal+ unilateral feed
- A team of 40 persons per match

Amongst the innovations introduced this season, the production of the dedicated Mobile International Signal (MIS) by HBS for the LFP has been very successful. Thanks to this set-up, the images of the football matches broadcast on mobile phones are the ones shot specifically for this format.

Francis Tellier said, "I am happy the Mobile International Signal can be an initial concrete result of the synergies between our two biggest customers, FIFA on the one hand and the LFP on the other."

HBS produces 9 matches out of 10 of which 8 are broadcast live on mobile phones via the MIS with specific framing and graphics adapted to the size of the screens so as to obtain optimal picture quality.
