As the Opening Ceremony of the 7th Asian Winter Games Astana-Almaty 2011 begins in Astana, IGBS is fully prepared and ready to deliver live coverage and content of the very highest broadcast standards. Five months of on-site preparation and an event-time crew of approximately 800 staff will ensure that this edition of the Asian Winter Games is transmitted to spectators around the world with the highest quality of production.

With just over two weeks remaining before the Opening Ceremony of the 7th Asian Winter Games Astana-Almaty 2011, International Games Broadcast Services (IGBS) is pleased to report that its host broadcast operations for the event are going full steam ahead.


ALMATY IBC NOW OPEN FOR BUSINESS   (13/01/2011)

As scheduled, the International Broadcast Centre for the 7th Asian Winter Games Astana- Almaty 2011 became fully operational on 10 January. The IBC, based in the Almaty Towers complex in the city’s business district, has already welcomed the staff of IGBS – who are making the final preparations ahead of the forthcoming Games – and will shortly see the arrival of its first Rights Holders.
