Main Purpose & Scope of The Job

The Junior Architect is responsible for the preparation, development and implementation of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ International Broadcast Centre (IBC) and will contribute to the project definition at the start of its lifecycle.

Position Details

Reports to:

  • Lead Architect
  • Senior IBC manager

Place of work:

  • Paris, France: April 2021 – October 2021

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide support on updating existing plans as part of the IBC design lifecycle
  • Assist in drawing publications for internal and external planning
  • Develop an IBC Look & Feel design concept for the purpose of IBC decoration and signage of the venue
  • Resolve complex (technical) design issues with innovative and practical solutions
  • Assist Lead Architect on translating broadcast requirements into design plans
  • Prepare technical specifications on Air conditioning, electrical and Fire prevention to ensure IBC user requirements are met 
  • Assist in the preparation of visual material to onboard different stakeholders

Skills & Compentencies

  • Creativity & Accuracy
  • Visualisation, ability to produce 2D and 3D design drawings for presentations
  • Strong written and verbal skills, fluency and grammar
  • AutoCAD and Office applications, Revit is a big plus
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Used to working with team members at various locations, local and international
  • Used to working with people from different nationalities, languages and cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to learn quickly following a hands-on, well-organized and detailed approach with an ability to work under pressure
  • Proficient in English language (both verbal and in writing)
