Why join our Platforms & Solutions team? 🚀
At HBS, internal platforms are business-critical tools used daily by operational teams across multiple projects and events.
These tools support booking, logistics, staffing, and planning activities and must remain reliable, usable, and well-supported, especially in fast-paced and event-driven contexts.
We are looking for a Platforms Coordinator / Digital Tools Support Analyst to take ownership of the day-to-day operational support of these tools, ensure users are properly assisted, and validate changes through thorough testing.
🤝 Your Role & Impact
As a Digital Tools Support Analyst, your primary mission will be to support users on a day-to-day basis and ensure internal platforms work as expected throughout project lifecycles.
You will be the first line of support for users, playing a key role in:
- troubleshooting issues,
- answering usage questions,
- testing new features,
- and ensuring tools are fit for real operational use.
Platform evolution and improvements will naturally follow from this close interaction with users and systems.
🧩 What you’ll actually do
End-User Support & Functional Expertise
- Act as the first point of contact for users across all platforms
- Understand in depth how each system works in order to support users effectively
- Help users when their needs go beyond the initial design of the tool
- Collect, structure, and escalate issues to internal teams or external developers
Testing & System Evolution
- Test new features delivered by external providers (often on a weekly basis)
- Challenge specifications by putting yourself in real user scenarios
- Validate deliveries, follow up releases, and ensure quality before production use
- Participate in functional analysis to support system evolution
Data & Tools Mindset
- Work daily with database-driven web applications
- Understand the link between back-end data and front-end user views (grids, lists, planning views)
- Support systems that manage operational data such as bookings, logistics, hotel rooms, staffing, and workloads
Does this sound like you? 🤔
You’ll feel comfortable in this role if:
- You enjoy being the go-to person for users when tools don’t behave as expected
- You like troubleshooting concrete issues and finding practical solutions
- You’re comfortable working with internal web applications and database-driven tools
- You’re curious about how systems work behind the scenes
- You’re hands-on, pragmatic, and not afraid to dig into problems
You’ll thrive here if you:
- enjoy testing tools and challenging how features really work in real-life scenarios
- like working with data (Excel, Power BI, reporting tools)
- take pleasure in improving existing systems rather than building everything from scratch
