We are involved in the production of the following events : FIFA World Cup 26™, FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™, Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 Australia.

Essential Skills

• Have 5+ years of experience in technical product or program management in the broadcasting industry
• Possess strong understanding of digital audio/video fundamentals and sports production technologies
• Be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines

Our Technical Department stands at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and world-class sports events. We’re responsible for implementing cloud and on-premises production platforms that deliver unforgettable moments to billions of viewers worldwide. From the FIFA World Cup to major rugby tournaments, we create the technical backbone that brings sporting magic to life.

We’re currently expanding our technical capabilities with innovative solutions like remote commentary systems, XR (extended reality) experiences, and cloud-based workflows that are revolutionising how sports content is produced and delivered. As we take on exciting new partnerships with organisations like La Liga and develop immersive viewing experiences, we need a skilled Technical Program Manager to drive these projects forward.

Main Activities/Responsibilities

Project Implementation & Delivery

• Lead the implementation of key Host Broadcast workflows for Cloud Production and Asset Management
• Develop and manage complex multi-year, multi-client project schedules
• Implement QA processes and oversee testing phases to ensure all systems meet our high-quality standards

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact between HBS teams, clients, and external vendors
• Provide regular progress updates and address potential risks before they impact delivery
• Ensure smooth handover to Operational Teams and provide critical support during live events

Technical Leadership

• Mentor junior Technical Program Managers and contribute to a culture of innovation
• Balance traditional Project Management processes with Agile methodologies
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and establish effective communication channels
• Stay current with emerging technologies in cloud production and contribute to Technical Roadmaps

Position Relevant Skills (Background & Experience)

• Experience managing RFPs, contracts, and legal documents related to technical projects
• Strong budget management and forecasting skills
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear explanations for diverse stakeholders
• Excellent problem-solving skills under pressure during live broadcast situations
• Flexibility to work non-standard hours when needed for event coverage
• Willingness to travel for selected major sporting events
• Passion for sports and technology innovation
