HBS Appointed Host Broadcaster of Copa América USA 2024

This news solidifies HBS’ leadership in continental football coverage, incorporating CONMEBOL into its distinguished list of associations alongside FIFA, UEFA and Concacaf, as well as its recent work on FIFA World Cup™ qualifying projects and the African Football League in Africa.

Founded in 1999, Host Broadcast Services (HBS) was originally established with the core mandate of being the Host Broadcaster (HB) for the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan™; the organisation has since developed as a renowned host broadcast expert.

“HBS’ dedication to elevating football coverage globally is unquestionable. Their selection as our host broadcaster for CONMEBOL Copa América USA 2024™ underscores their proven expertise in delivering top-tier productions. As we embark on this journey, we entrust HBS to illuminate the spirit of South American football, uniting continents through the beautiful game,” said Monserrat Jimenez, CONMEBOL’s Deputy Secretary General/General Legal Counsel.

“We are very proud that CONMEBOL have shown their trust in us to deliver their showcase event,” said Dan Miodownik, HBS CEO. “In a year of major sporting events, the carnival of South American football, with the addition of North American teams, will stand out and unite a continent. The attention of the world will be on CONMEBOL’s top stars and, as such, world-class production and project management is required. That is where CONMEBOL has put their trust in our track record as the leaders in international football broadcast.”

This marks the second occasion that HBS has provided HB coverage of the event, following the CONMEBOL Copa América Centenario 2016. This year’s edition kicks-off on 20 June, with the Final taking place on 14 July.
